Seed the
Future

If our stories are seeds, let’s plant hope and liberation

It’s on all of us to grow a future where our relationships to food, land, and community are rooted in care and mutual belonging. By dreaming big with community, sharing liberatory stories, and making necessary shifts today, we’re not just planting seeds of surviving—we’re nourishing our collective thriving.

Storytelling and dreaming together are tools for seeding a food future of care.

Join a Fall 2024 Workshop

Food Futures Dream Lab

Fri, Oct 25 & Nov 1, 10-11:30am PT

To create a food future that breaks free of cycles of extraction and exploitation, we first have to envision it. Tap into the liberatory power of collective dreaming with fellow food, land, and culture workers.

Together, we''ll listen to "Other Futures Are Possible"—a story of community food sovereignty from the Radical Nourishment podcast, then immerse in a guided visioning and mapping sessions to help you get specific on the future of care you want to create.

Story Workshop

Thu, Nov 14 & Nov 21, 10am-12pm PT

Inspire action and seed cultural transformation through storytelling. When we bring our values, experiences, and truths to our work through our stories, we can help supplant insidious narratives of fear, exploitation, and supremacy .

Join food, land, and culture workers to explore your relationships to food, land and community, workshop your story, and build lasting relationships with fellow storytellers and facilitators.

What is possible when we share stories of hope and joy over stories of doom and gloom?

Tune into this conversation with Tory Stephens of Grist‘s Imagine 2200 Climate Fiction Series, and Ada Cuadrado-Medina of Food Culture Collective about storytelling and collective dreaming as food and climate solutions.
